UX DESIGN DIRECTOR | INDEED | 2018 – 2023

  • Defined the vision and managed the execution of user experience strategy across Indeed’s Sourcing and Candidate Management products, used by 300K+ small business and Enterprise employers, with 475K+ active users.

  • Influenced executive leadership to adopt end to end design thinking by leveraging user insights in the form of customer and competitive research, metrics, and analytics.

  • Collaborated with product, engineering and cross-functional leaders at multiple altitudes, to build and execute on strategic roadmaps, resulting in $500M+ revenue, a 51% YoY growth.

  • Drove the design and optimizations of several high-profile initiatives such as search, contact experiences and trials, from inception to launch, resulting in increased engagement between job seekers and employers and user growth on the Indeed platform.

  • Led, hired and mentored, across geographies, high performing and multidisciplinary teams of designers, content strategists, researchers, and UX engineers.

UX DESIGN MANAGER | EXPEDIA | 2010 – 2018

  • Successfully influenced and executed plans, across travel product portfolios, leading to a consistent 30% increase in YoY growth.

  • Increased rental car attach rates to flight and hotel shoppers. These net new orders accounted for almost 18% of our total car transactions.

  • Led strategy to design the ecosystem for collection and display customer reviews; enabling shoppers to make better purchase decisions as well as providing suppliers with critical insights on their service levels and guidance to improve their scores.

  • Led several design initiatives to shift from a desktop focused view to a truly responsive, mobile-first solution.

  • Fostered a culture of a data-driven approach, turning information gathered from user research and testing, site metrics, funnel flow and customer service insights into actionable design proposals.

  • Led, hired and mentored a multi-disciplinary team of designers, content strategists, and researchers to execute roadmaps across multiple travel products.

USABILITY PROJECT MANAGER | STAPLES | 2005 – 2010

  • Led user experience strategy improvements and feature roadmap planning across Staples web/mobile sites and Copy and Print Center. 

  • Lowered the abandonment rate at checkout and product pages, improved ability to filter results easily, increased sales due to personalized recommendations, and drove higher foot traffic at retail stores. 

  • Redesigned the homepage, product details, checkout and microsites. Introduced several new features such as ship-to-store, in-store inventory lookup, personalized recommendations, multiple payment methods, ink and toner finder, and compliance with section 508/ADA guidelines.

USABILITY & DESIGN SPECIALIST | MARSH & MCLENNAN | 2003 – 2005

  • Designed multi-user interfaces for administrators, brokers, call centers, client HR, and employee users that supported over 15 insurance carriers, 3 call centers, and 2.2 million employee users from over 100 large market clients including IBM, Cigna, UAW, Ford, BASF, Lockheed, Verizon, and more. 

  • Hands on experience in scoping, requirements gathering, generating wireframes, prototyping, testing, and writing specifications for complex employee benefits enrollment and configuration applications.
